Steer Smarts Yeti XD Top Mount Drag Link for High-Steer Knuckles

The YETI XD Top Mount Draglink for a high steer or drilled-out stock knuckle was designed to be a complete bolt-on for JK's that have already been modified for a flipped draglink. The YETI XD Top Mount installs in just minutes and bolts to a High Steer knuckle hole and the factory pitman arm hole.

NOTES:

A minimum lift height of 3-3.5" (and correct bump stop) is required for a top mount drag link. Minimum height requirements will vary by lift manufacturer. Track Bar Relocation Bracket is necessary when flipping your drag link to maintain proper parallel geometry track bar and drag link.

THERE IS NO TAPER INSERT PROVIDED WITH THE HIGH-STEER DRAG LINK - while this kit works with drilled knuckles that have JK taper inserts, it was designed for use with High Steer Knuckles from companies like Reid, Rancho, Teraflex, Skyjaker, etc—it is recommended to replace the tapered insert with a new one before installing this part to ensure proper fitment but Steer Smarts do not offer one and one is not included with the product

Draglink fits all left-hand drive 2007-2018 JK Wrangler models including Rubicon and Unlimited.

A minimum of 17” wheels is recommended. 16" wheels with a maximum of 4.5 backspacing might fit but not guaranteed.

High-quality seals ensure long ball joint life. Steer Smarts superior seals have been rigorously tested to minimize leakage between grease service intervals which greatly improves their ball joint reliability over competition.

DRAGLINK ENDS:

Powder coat over E-coat for a long-lasting appearance under harsh conditions.

External threads are e-coated for durability and long-term serviceability.

Forged from medium carbon high hardenability steel and heat-treated for greater buckling, impact, and fatigue strength.

Large 1 ¼ inch rolled threads at tie rod adjuster and draglink ends provide significantly increased strength over the original equipment threads.

Unique “Reverse Pin” technology prevents linkage from flopping or rocking. This technology is built into the socket unlike the weak external supports on some competitor linkages.

ADJUSTER TUBE:

Draglink adjuster is manufactured from large diameter ¼ inch thick wall high strength 4130 Chromoly steel tubing for maximum buckling strength.

Adjuster clamps assure proper clamp force using conventional tools without the possible risk of loosening like large jam nuts.

Designed with right-hand and left-hand threads for quick and easy adjustment when installed on the vehicle.

Internal threads and tubes are also e-coated for long-term serviceability.

A: Mounting the drag link on top of the knuckle flattens the steering angles, helping to reduce bump steer and improve handling on lifted setups. It also offers improved tie rod and steering stabilizer clearance for off-road use.

A: Yes. It includes the full drag link bar with forged ends , premium greasable joints , and adjustment sleeve for easy toe alignment and centering the steering wheel.

A: Yes. It features adjustable ends with opposing threads and a central adjustment sleeve, allowing for on-vehicle fine-tuning of steering wheel alignment.

A: It’s not recommended. A raised track bar bracket is required to keep the drag link and track bar in the same plane, which is critical to avoiding bump steer.
