Shift Reinforcement Bridge
- In stock
The Shift Reinforcement Bridge was designed and engineered to strengthen the frame of the Jeep Gladiator (any trim level), at the rear coil spring frame radius/bump stop area. This section of the frame bends when towing weights above 3-4000 lbs consistently, or by having a constant load on the bed of the truck (Camper, bed rack with a tent, fuel or water tanks). If not addressed in timely manner, it will crack the frame. To identify if your frame is bent or cracked, check for a gap between the top of the truck bed and the cab, if the gap is larger on the top vs the bottom then you will more than likely need the bridge. This bracket reinforces that area making it nearly impossible to bend or fracture the frame
Shift frame bridge is made out of 1/8 inch high strength steel and its a weld on piece only.
Removal of the original bump stop and bracket is necessary and it needs to be installed by a skilled welder or a reputable shop. kit comes with new replacement bump and cup to install it
Parts might need fitting, trimming, grinding or shaving before install, tack test fit first before welding and adjust as necessary as frames vary one to another depending on trim level.
Install time 8.0 hrs minimum with straight frame
If frame is bent, frame must be repaired and straightened first before install
Install time with bent frame may vary depending on frame repair
Parts must be coated with spray paint inside before welding
Parts must be painted after welding to prevent rusting
No warranties or guarantees of any kind on structural reinforcements
