The Teraflex Heavy Duty Tie Rod and Drag Link Kit was made to use for failed and bent factory steering components. As opposed to the factory tie rod, its HD 1.6in O.D. tie rod is more than 200% stronger and will allow roughly 14 degrees of movement with the intent of minimizing the tie rod roll. Teraflex HD's forged tie rod end housing was specially designed for JKs. However, it equally allows proper clearance for use with 17in factory wheels. As for the drag link, it is a fully forged design that eliminates excessive movement during hard steering maneuvers. Furthermore, it ensures for simple adjustments with the oversized DOM factory style adjusting collar and pinch clamp.

What good are these pieces without ball joints? The included ball joints come with studs that are manufactured from 4140 chromoly steel to ensure high hardenability with an additional heat treat that allows for excellent fatigue and abrasion resistance.The elimination of the weak factory plastic cups in these new products, unlike the previous ones has helped generate a better encounter for the owners. The Teraflex JK HD Dana 44/30 Upper & Lower Ball Joint Set of 4 w/ Knurl features a machined grease passage in the lower joint housing assembly provides lubrication access without affecting the ball joint load surface. These ball joints are specifically fit to the Jeep Wrangler JK Dana 30 and Dana 44 axles. Each ball joint is durably constructed from 4140 chromoly and housed in 1045 carbon steel housing. There is even a hard alloy tool steel slotted wear plate for each ball/stud to offer more socket wear protection. When it comes time to do the occasional maintenance, it is very easy to complete any servicing with the adjustable end cap with lateral greasing access.

Fitment: Jeep Wrangler JK Important Notes:

We recommend ball joints without knurls as they will not score the inner knuckle and open up the bore. We also offer ball joint with knurls for ball joints that have a loose press fit in the inner knuckle due to repeated ball joint replacement or if knurled ball joints have been installed in the past.
