The Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer Relieves the Load Off Steering Components
With heavy off-road use, your steering components can take a beating trying the to navigate the challenging trails. Without proper stabilization, you could hinder your off-road performance, wear down your tires, or cause possible damage to these key components. The Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer relieves some of the load off these steering components that will keep your tires straight, stable, and true. This is especially important when running oversized off-road tires because they have a tendency to seek out traction on whatever they make contact with. If your tires are not stable, then their large knobs and open tread pattern will cause the front end to wander when driving off-road.
Same Damping Technology as FOX Performance Series Shocks
Each Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer utilizes the same damping technology that is incorporated into the FOX Performance Series shocks. This damping technology is meant to tame the steering feedback that you get from aggressive, oversized off-road tires. You will feel the full control over front end drifting and sudden jolts from bumps in the terrain that can make any off-road experience one that will leave you sore in the morning. No matter how challenging the trails, this stabilizer is engineered to not fade even under heavy use. The high pressure gas nitrogen gas and nitrogen never combine to cause aeration. The strong aluminum construction allows the stabilizer to resist rust and dissipate heat faster for a long-lasting suspension investment. The reservoir design is a monotube that keeps the oil and nitrogen gas separate and is sealed to the maximum with a scraper seal, wiper seal, and redundant sealing pack system main seal.
Fitment:
- Jeep Wrangler JL
- Jeep Gladiator JT
Important Notes:
- Because this is not a thru-shaft style stabilizer, this unit will steer your vehicle slightly left. To avoid this, purchase a thru-shaft style stabilizer.
- If you have a 2021 mid-year or newer model Wrangler or Gladiator, with the long square necked mounting bolt, you will need to use the older short square neck mounting bolt, Mopar part number MPR6510774AA
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What are the benefits of this stabilizer over stock?
A: It can reduce steering wheel feedback, smooth out bump steer, and improve control, especially with larger tires or aftermarket suspension.
Q: Is this stabilizer adjustable?
A: No, this IFP model is non-adjustable. It’s valved by FOX for balanced, consistent performance on and off-road.
Q: Will this help with death wobble?
A: While it can reduce symptoms like wheel shimmy, a stabilizer is not a cure for death wobble. Worn or loose suspension and steering components must be inspected and addressed.
